We would like to welcome Brenda Lanois as Marian’s new recreation director.

Brenda was the head recreation coach for nine years at Heels Over Head Xperience Gymnastics Club in Pembroke, Ontario.

She has coached recreational and competitive trampoline, and is certified as a coach for Special Olympics athletes, coaching them as they moved from recreational fitness programs onto Regional, Provincial, National and International competition.

Brenda is NCCP certificated/trained and holds Level I Special Olympics, Level II Artistic Gymnastics, Level II Trampoline, and is also a trained Facilitator for the NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills Program.

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Brenda moved to Manitoba in the early 1980s, where she attended Brandon University, earned a Bachelor of General Studies Degree and began her coaching career.    After spending a 4 years in Germany she returned to Ontario and began her teaching career.  During these years she completed a Professional Program in Education and earned her Master's of Science in Education through Canisius College in Buffalo.

Marian Gym Club Takes Home Medal Haul from the 2015 Western Canadian Gymnastics Championships Gymnasts from the Marian Gym Club earned two all around titles, three event titles, and 19 medals at the recent 2015 Western Canadian Gymnastics Championships, held in Okotoks, Alberta. Marian Gymnastics Club Brings Home Medal Haul

The Marian Gym Club brought home 3 team and 7 all around titles, along with 55 medals from the Provincial Gymnastics Championships held on the weekend in Moose Jaw.

The Marian Gymnastics Club garnered 70 medals, and 9 all around titles on its way to qualifying 3 athletes for Canadian Gymnastics Championships and 6 athletes for the Western Canadian Championships.
